Denneville Plage is a true jewel of the French coast with an idyllic sandy beach stretching over a kilometre. The small village is the perfect place for a relaxed and peaceful holiday, characterised by unspoilt nature and the charm of the coastal village. The location of the village is ideal for excursions in the surrounding area. Visit the famous Mont Saint Michel, one of France's most famous sights, or explore the charming town of Cherbourg and its famous Cite de la mer. Picturesque towns like Barbelures are also worth a visit. There is plenty to discover in Denneville Plage itself. Visit the local oyster producer and buy fresh oysters directly from the farmer. On Sundays, you have the opportunity to buy the fresh delicacies here. In the summer months of July and August, there is a baker, a butcher and a small supermarket within walking distance, offering you everything you need for your stay. On Mondays you can visit the market and buy local products and souvenirs. If you want to be active, you can rent the tennis court of the nearby campsite and play sports. In the village you will also find the restaurant Le Pin with a very nice outdoor dining area, known for its excellent cuisine. In Portbail, the neighbouring village, there are other restaurants, bakers, butchers and small shops you can visit. The 13th century church is another highlight of the village. Art exhibitions are held here all year round, which you can visit and make a nice change from a day at the beach. Denneville Plage is the perfect place for a relaxing and authentic holiday in France. Here you can enjoy the beauty of the French coast while experiencing life in a charming coastal village.
The best way to get there is by car. This is also recommended for exploring the surrounding area. You can also fly to Paris and take the Normandy train to Carentan or Cherbourg. From there it is best to continue by taxi to Denneville-Plage.
